Applied Skills & Gr 9 Safety quiz this week!! Gr 8 review chapter 20/21 Discovering Foods & Nutrition. Gr 9 review Lab Guidelines. Food Bourne Illness activity due! Sept 28/29. Welcome to the new school year!! My grade 9 students had their first mini lab yesterday. Some are already asking for the recipe. This lab was the follow up exercise for learning about healthy eating and good nutrition. Both of these topics will be common threads throughout the year. Recipes below or on instagram or twitter @sdsscooks Complete Protein Bites ½ cup oats ¼ cup peanut butter 2 tbsp agave syrup/honey ¼ cup protein powder ¼ cup mixed nuts/seeds/cacao nibs ¼ tsp vanilla Method: Mix everything in a large bowl and let chill in fridge for around 10-15min minutes. Roll into balls. If mixture seems too dry, wet your hands before rolling or add a tiny bit of water to mixture. Complete Energy Bar
1/3 cup peanut butter ¼ cup agave syrup/honey ¼ cup applesauce 1 ½ cup oats 1 cup mixed seeds/nuts/cacao nibs/dried fruit ¼ cup protein powder Optional: vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate chips Method: Microwave peanut butter, agave, and applesauce for 1min. Stir well. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread mixture evenly into a parchment lined cake pan. Bake at 350 for 15-20 min. Hello there. I thought I had this form attached but I didn't.
